Cursor

Configure Cursor to use Lightweight as a custom OpenAI-compatible provider.

Cursor is an AI-powered code editor. Connect it to Lightweight to use any model from the catalog directly in your editor.

Setup

1. Open Cursor Settings

   Open Cursor and go to Settings (Cmd/Ctrl + ,).

2. Navigate to Models

   In the settings sidebar, click on Models.

3. Select OpenAI provider

   Under the provider configuration, select OpenAI as the provider type.

4. Set Base URL

   Set the API base URL to:

   https://api.lightweight.one/v1
   
5. Set API Key

   Enter your Lightweight API key:

   lw_sk_your-key-here
   
6. Select a model and start coding

   Type any model name from the catalog into the model field — for example gpt-5.4, claude-sonnet-4.5, or gemini-2.5-pro. Save and start using AI features.

Cursor’s model dropdown may not list Lightweight models. Manually type the model ID you want to use. See the full list on the Models page.
