Windsurf

Configure Windsurf to use Lightweight as an AI provider.

Windsurf (by Codeium) is an AI-powered IDE. Connect it to Lightweight to access all models through a single key.

Setup

1. Open Windsurf Settings

   Launch Windsurf and navigate to Settings (Cmd/Ctrl + ,).

2. Navigate to AI Configuration

   In the settings panel, find the AI Provider or Model Configuration section.

3. Select OpenAI-compatible provider

   Choose OpenAI Compatible as the provider type.

4. Enter connection details

   Configure the following:

   • Base URL: https://api.lightweight.one/v1
   • API Key: lw_sk_your-key-here
   • Model: claude-sonnet-4.5 (or any model from the catalog)
5. Save and start coding

   Save your settings. Windsurf will now route AI requests through Lightweight. You can switch models at any time by changing the model field.

If Windsurf doesn’t show Lightweight models in its dropdown, manually type the model ID. See the Models page for all available options.
